Meetings & Minutes

The JIBC Board of Governors meets at least four times a year, or as often as called by the Chair. The Board operates according to JIBC Bylaws and the College and Institute Act.

Meeting Schedule

Board meetings for 2018 are as shown below. Note that additional meetings or changes to scheduled meetings may be called by the Chair, if and when required.

  • September 27
  • November 29

The public is welcome to attend meetings of the JIBC Board of Governors as observers. 

The Board may exclude the public from a meeting or a portion of a meeting, if topics of discussion are of a confidential or sensitive nature and it is deemed necessary to protect the interest of an individual or the public interest. Such in-camera matters can include items related to collective bargaining, individual employees or students, legal issues, property issues, and the safety, security or protection of Board property.

Please note: the taking of photos or recording of audio or video during the meetings is not permitted.

To suggest an item for the meeting’s agenda, please submit it to presidentsoffice@jibc.ca three weeks prior to the meeting. Meetings start at 1 p.m. on the scheduled dates. Please email to the address above to indicate an interest in attending and to confirm the meeting location.
