Instructor, Advanced Driving, Driver Education Centre

Driver Education Centre (DEC) at  Justice Institute of British Columbia invites applications for the full-time  position of Advanced Driving Instructor for its Fleet Safety and Emergency Vehicle Operations advanced driver training.   You will become part of a dynamic faculty team committed to delivering high quality instruction. The successful applicants will instruct advanced driver courses at the Justice Institute New Westminster and Pitt Meadows campuses.

Research Fellow, Office of Applied Reserach & Graduate Studies (OARGS) (Part-time Term - 30 hours per week)

The successful candidate will be responsible for contributing to the expansion and implementation of JIBC’s research program on mental health and public safety through applied research and training activities, research funding applications, and maintaining or developing relationships with JIBC’s research community.

Instructor/Coordinator, Emergency Management Division

As a contributing member of the emergency management team, this full-time regular position is primarily responsible for the delivery and coordination of Emergency Management training and ensuring that such training meets the high standards set out by JIBC and the Emergency Management Division.

The Instructor/Coordinator will also be responsible for the design/customization, development, evaluation and revision of emergency management curriculum and exercises; liaison with current and potential clients; project/time management, and instructing emergency management courses.

Program Assistant, Court Administration, Corrections & Court Services Division (Part-Time, Term)

The primary role of the Program Assistant is to provide clerical and administrative support for the delivery of programs and courses within the Court Services program area. This role supports the program area primarily through co-ordination with the Program Manager.

Senior Manager, Health, Safety and Emergency Management

The Senior Manager, Health, Safety and Emergency Management works at both the strategic and the operational level. The incumbent formulates and implements strategies which will enable JIBC to operationalize effective and integrated health, safety and emergency management programs. In addition, the Senior Manager ensures that the necessary policies, procedures and protocols are in place to effectively support these programs. The incumbent is also responsible for developing organizational capacity and implementing initiatives which help to foster an organizational culture that embraces health and safety and emergency preparedness across the organization.
