ACA: The American Correctional Association
Founded in 1870 as the National Prison Association, ACA is the oldest association developed specifically for practitioners in the correctional profession.

AJA: The American Jail Association
The American Jail Association is a national, nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting those that work in and operate jails within the United States. The AJA focuses on issues specific to the operations of correctional facilities.

BC Corrections Branch (Ministry of Justice)
Government branch responsible for public safety through offender management and control. Site provides access to reports and publications as well as links to other correction resources.

British Columbia Probation Officer's Association
Provides access to membership form, newsletter and selected documents published by the association. Includes links to other organizations.

California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation

The International Institute on Special Needs Offenders and Policy Research (Canada)
The International Institute on Special Needs Offenders and Policy Research (Canada) works to ensure both short- and long-term personal and public safety and security by promotion of a variety of improved systems and services for adult and adolescent offenders who are mentally ill and/or developmentally disabled and have other special needs, utilizing the least restrictive and most cost effective and efficient methods possible.

National Center on Institutions and Alternatives (NCIA)
Private, not-for-profit agency based in Virginia with the mandate to provide services and programs to individuals who come into contact with the corrections environment.

National Commission on Correctional Health Care (NCCHC)
NCCHC works "to improve the quality of health care in jails, prisons and juvenile confinement facilities." Site includes information about education & conferences, publications & products and resources.

National Criminal Justice Reference Service (NCJRS)
NCJRS is one of the most extensive sources of information on criminal and juvenile justice in the world. NCJA: National Criminal Justice Association

NIJ: National Institute of Justice

Parole Board of Canada

The Sentencing Project
The Sentencing Project is an independent source of criminal justice policy analysis, data and program information for the public and policy-makers. The Sentencing Project Web site is designed to provide resources and information for the news media and a public concerned with criminal justice and sentencing issues. This site also includes news and information about the National Association of Sentencing Advocates (NASA). The Sentencing Project, incorporated in 1986, has become a national leader in the development of alternative sentencing programs and in the reform of criminal justice policy.

ATSA: The Association for the Treatment of Sexual Abusers
ATSA is an international non-profit interdisciplinary organization. Site provides information about the association, research, conferences and links to related resources.

California Coalition on Sexual Offending
Intended as a resource for professionals working with persons involved in the commission of sexual crimes.

CSOM - Center for Sex Offender Management
CSOM's goal is to enhance public safety by preventing further victimization through improving the management of adult and juvenile sex offenders who are in the community.

Sexual Abuse Treatment
