Bureau of Counterterrorism
As part of the U.S. Department of State, this office develops and implements counterterrorism policies and works with other foreign governments in response to any terrorist event. Included in this site is a separate link to archived information created prior to January 20th 2001, the date President George W. Bush took office. FBI: Federal Bureau of Investigation
Contains information on terrorism in the form of press releases and updates on FBI antiterrorist activities.

FEMA: Federal Emergency Management Agency
FEMA's site is full of information on terrorism. Check out their site on Terrorist Hazards.

Global Terrorism Database
The Global Terrorism Database (GTD) is an open-source database including information on terrorist events around the world from 1970 through 2007 (with annual updates planned for the future). From the National Consortium for the Study of Terrorism and Responses to Terrorism at the University of Maryland.

NATO: North Atlantic Treaty Organization
Provides information on access to NATO's policies and structures, official documents, press releases, speeches, and publications. NATO's mandate is to ensure security and cooperation between members and partner countries. This site has information on terrorism in the "Topics" section.

Perspectives on Terrorism
Perspectives on Terrorism is  an open-access journal of the Terrorism Research Initiative and the Center for Terrorism and Security Studies.

Canadian Security Intelligence Service (CSIS)
Government organization focused upon safeguarding Canada and its citizens through the development of national security programs such as counter-terrorism, counter-intelligence and security screening.

Centre for Security and Defence Studies (CSDS)
Housed by the Norman Paterson School of International Affairs at Carleton University, the Centre's site features links to research and publications as well as related institutions.

CISS: Canadian Institute of Strategic Studies
This independent organization conducts research on Canadian issues such as foreign policy, international relations, peacekeeping, nuclear weapons and arms control. Provides excellent links to other Canadian, American and International research and government organizations.

Foreign Affairs and International Trade Canada
This federal government site provides information about the actions that Canada is taking in its fight against terrorism. Includes diplomatic actions and information for Canadian businesses and Canadians travelling abroad.

Johns Hopkins Medicine - Hospital Epidemiology and Infection Control
