Support JIBC by sponsoring our team in the Scotiabank Half Marathon & 5K
Update: Team JIBC has raised more than $10,000 to support students, equipment, and programs - online donations accepted until July 8
Team JIBC has raised close to $10,000 for JIBC by participating in the Scotiabank Vancouver Half Marathon & 5K that took place June 24. Thank you to all of the runners, walkers, and supporters that came out on a beautiful day to support JIBC. Donations to JIBC can still be made on the Team JIBC page on the Scotiabank Group Charity Challenge website until July 8.
JIBC is participating for the first time in the Charity Challenge that’s part of the Scotiabank Half-Marathon & 5k, taking place Sunday, June 24, 2012. This offers an ideal opportunity to support JIBC.
Team JIBC consists of 15 people – including JIBC staff, Board members, and friends – who will run or walk the Scotiabank Vancouver Half Marathon & 5K. The team members, including five who will run the 21.1 km half-marathon, have been training hard for the event. They’ve also been fundraising by obtaining donations to JIBC, which will go toward much-needed bursaries and scholarships for students, equipment, programs, and research.
The team has set a goal of raising $25,000 for JIBC, a public post-secondary institution that’s Canada’s leading public safety educator. You can show your support by sponsoring the team, or individual members on the team, through a tax-deductible donation. To make a donation, visit the Team JIBC page on the Scotiabank Group Charity Challenge website.
You can also show your support by coming out to the event and cheering on the runners and walkers wearing Team JIBC shirts. Thank you for your support, and see you on race day!
