The Emergency Vehicle Driving Regulation (Non-Police)  course teaches the legal requirements for emergency response by a person other than a Police Officer. This course was developed to familiarize drivers of emergency vehicles with the legislative requirements and guidelines for operating emergency vehicles.

The course is divided into segments each with specific learning objectives. These segments are:

  • Overview of Policy
  • Emergency Vehicle Operation
  • Risk Assessment
  • Liability Issues
  • Reporting Requirements

Who Should Take This Course

Learning Objectives

This course is designed to familiarize drivers of emergency vehicles with the legislative requirements and guidelines for operating emergency vehicles.

The sessions will encourage the participants to interact with the presenter and to clarify areas that are controversial in nature.

The course is offered online and  face to face.  

Cost

$75.00 per student

Instructor travel costs will be charged for face to face courses outside Metro Vancouver

Course Requirements

Must be professionals working in emergency services and employed by a provincially recognized organization.
